The Coopers 4.3
Welcome back! Not only do I have this update for you, but I have like, half of an update 4.4. With any luck it should be able to come out on schedule. Enjoy!
Last time: my game crashed and crashed and crashed. Finally I moved the Coopers to a new house in a new save and things seem OK again. Arnold became a child, Josh became a toddler, Julian became an elder and Britta became a middle-aged adult. We continue…
We open this update with Britta and Morgan trying for a third baby!
Morgan: We did it, babe! I’m pregnant!
Britta: …again… great… :|
Josh seems to prefer chicken nuggets to sandwiches.
smh Arnold
That’s more like it. Now stay on your monkey bars!
The FAKE MORGAN tries to lure Claire into joining her FAKE RENEGADES CLUB. Stuff off, we’re not falling for it!
For some reason they all decided to congregate outside.
I mean… it’d be kinda sad if your wife didn’t sympathise with your cause… just saying
Morgan: Hey son! You’ve gotta be careful out here – there be bears in those woods!
Britta: *chokes*
Julian tried to go for a jog to work off some of that cake-related weight gain, but it didn’t agree with him.
The FAKE Morgan Fyres walks past the Coopers’ house at night! Boooooo!
I was scrolling around randomly and found Britta doing this. Her current action was a picture of herself and the description “Watch”. wtf Britta.
Claire begrudgingly gives Josh a bath. She seems to like doing all the fun stuff with the kids, and avoids all the boring stuff like feeding them, bathing them, or taking them to the potty. smh Claire. I’m on to you.
Time for a post-bath boogie, because… why not?
BRITTA’S NEMESIS, in this alternate universe where they are not nemeses because they have never met, walks past the house at 2am. wtf kid. Go home. You have school in the morning!
The next morning, Claire manages to catch her breakfast on fire, and she makes use of this perfect opportunity to do yoga.
I had Morgan try to “Debate Politics from Left” with Claire and we got this… seems that Claire is one of those Tory sportspeople in the mould of Dawn Fraser.
Morgan decided to check how her cause was going… “fairly crap” was the answer. I mean I think that one supporter is her wife.
NO, JOSH! Not you as well!
Another cute family scene. Apparently Josh can tell a great joke.
Dominic Fyres seriously would not stop calling us, so eventually Julian broke down and joined his club. No one else calls the Coopers. Only Dominic Fyres.
To be fair this is a very realistic primary school playground conversation.
He has less control over his emotions now as a result of being told not to eat dirt? Why??
Arnold: Why, cereal, why?? WHY DOES NO ONE LOVE ME *sobsobsob*
At first I was like, ruh-roh, Morgan lost her cause’s only supporter, her wife. Then I realised it said she lost NEGATIVE one supporter?
go away Dominic Fyres
It’s Josh’s birthday!
He’s a Social Butterfly with the Perfectionist trait. Not impressed with gramps for not cleaning the counter after he’d finished making the cake.
Josh: NEVER GET ENGAGED!! What if you really like someone and you commit yourself to them, and THEN they turn into someone who never cleans the counter?! Best just to avoid the whole situation!
Julian: Ahem, how rude. btw I don’t know what it is but something stinks in here
Morgan got the exact same chance card twice in one day… she responds in the exact same way with an entirely different outcome this time. She’s sure shown whoever came up with that quote about the definition of insanity.
Josh: Blarffy! Tell Grandpa to clean the f**kin’ house!
Wouldn’t be nice if this was an actual paid position? But no, in the real world it combines all the fun of sales work with all of the thrill of never getting paid for your time.
Morgan: owie, my pregnant back :(
Arnold: never mind a baby brother or sister, I hope Mum gives birth to a baby dragon :)
I guess Morgan snuck inside while Arnold’s eyes were still closed, because he RAN into this corner and started screaming for her. smh
Unfortunately for Arnold, Morgan had better things to do.
Arnold is such a little nerd so responsible that he does his homework and his extra credit work all autonomously! Josh, not so much. Not yet anyway.
That’s not very nice, Britta.
What could be causing Britta to pull this delightful face?
Claire: Blah blah, love rockets…
This.
Hey look, Claire gets more than one option now.
She told him to get a ninja outfit.
Josh: You might disagree with my life choices, but you can’t deny I’m gonna be the best ninja ever!
Oh dear, Josh.
At least at this rate he’s going to grow up to have a lot of emotional control.
Why might Britta be freaking out? Well, because the sleeping Morgan has GONE INTO LABOUR!
She decided to give birth outside for some reason. Meet Ella Cooper!
Arnold and Josh rush outside to meet their new sister… although Arnold has to admit he’s a bit disappointed she’s not a dragon.
Britta and Morgan decide to get hot ‘n’ heavy…
…while their newborn daughter screams and wails in the corner of the room. A+
Then Ella became a toddler!! She looks almost identical to Josh, except in feminine clothes and with green eyes instead of brown. She got the Silly trait.
Britta tries to teach Ella how to talk, but Ella is more interested in waving her arms around like a wild thing.
Yuckkkkkk I hate work-from-home tasks that require me to go to San Myshuno and usually crash my game >:| Why can’t my Sims actually work from home? WHY ARE YOU OPPRESSING ME
Before we move on to that, I was surprised to notice Arnold autonomously doing this.
Honestly I wasn’t really surprised that Britta chose to ignore all his hard work and sit on the couch next to Morgan to eat her breakfast instead.
Arnold: Look, Grandpa! I set the dining table so everybody can eat together for a change!
Julian: u a lil nerd
Arnold: AM NOT
So, Britta and Morgan take their two boys on an outing to San Myshuno.
Britta posts a “shout out” from Myshuno Meadows, which proves to be a lot more effective in attracting new followers than livetweeting her own wedding was.
Meanwhile, Morgan protests.
No one really paid her any attention though, so she got a Sad moodlet.
I’m not really sure why there’s this abandoned-looking restaurant thingy at Myshuno Meadows, but regardless, Britta broke in to make herself some coffee.
Arnold follows her lead and helps himself to a big bowl of refrigerated chips!
Then the family move on to the Arts Quarter, where they repeat many of the same shenanigans.
And Arnold wanders off from his parents and chats to strangers, because why not?
Yeah, due to the three pregnancies she’s younger than Britta now.
Unfortunately, Britta is not able to complete her own work-from-home task because my game crashes every single time I try to load Uptown. The other task, that’s obscured in this screenshot, is to get a new Video Game skill point.
Yay, top of his career path!
What is this sorcery?! Claire Cooper, AUTONOMOUSLY potty-training her granddaughter?
omg Dominic Fyres, learn your audience! Julian is NOT SINGLE. and neither are you for that matter
Britta had a whim to paint a playful painting. Unfortunately she had zero painting skill, despite having maxed out her childhood Creativity skill, so this is the result.
Then Britta decided to gain some Gourmet Cooking skill, because WHY NOT. At least she had fun while she trashed the whole kitchen.
Promotion for Morgan!
I didn’t know that children could teach blocks to toddlers. Interesting.
She’s crying because she hates her new hair that isn’t a clone of Josh’s she’s really sick of playing with blocks. Like seriously kid, you could have stopped earlier then.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for these cute family scenes.
Rather than just eating some of the leftovers in the fridge, Britta decides she has to go outside and cook some potatoes on the barbecue.
Then, instead of eating them, Britta carried them to a couch in the living room and put them in her inventory.
why
Ella is an imaginative little girl.
It’s Morgan’s birthday!
y u do this Joshy
Also, this incident made me realise that Arnold hadn’t made a mess on the floor for a very long time. Guess that’s just how it is when you’re ~responsible~
Britta and Morgan got in trouble with their bosses for not doing their work-from-home work, lol
maybe stop assigning work that can’t actually be done from home, just an idea bosses!
